Are your teeth chipped, cracked or discolored? Do you have cavities and want to avoid silver fillings? We can help! We create fillings that are not only beautiful, but also add strength to weakened teeth. Our resin fillings are white giving a more natural appearance. Resin fillings typically last 7 to 10 years; however, they are more likely to stain, chip or break than your natural teeth. If you are looking for something long-lasting, inlays and onlays or crowns might be the best option for you.
If you have missing or broken teeth that are beyond repair, crowns and bridges are a reliable, long lasting solution. Not only can they improve your smile, but they also correct functional chewing problems. At Artistic Dentistry, we are known for the quality of our work using this technology. Transforming your dental woes into dazzling smiles is our specialty. We will make sure these restorations look and feel like your natural teeth, while providing a functional bite. These bonding procedures can actually increase the strength of a tooth by up to 75%, lasting anywhere from 10 to 30 years. Similar to a traditional filling, an inlay is used inside the cusp tips of the tooth. An onlay is a more substantial reconstruction that extends out over one or more of the cusps of the tooth. If you choose either technique, it will require 2 appointments to complete the procedure.
During the first visit, we will remove the damaged or decaying area, make an impression of the tooth and apply a temporary sealant. At the follow-up appointment, we'll make sure the inlay or onlay fits correctly. If it does, it will be bonded to the tooth and polished.
